Do I need a wedding videographer?

Don’t just try and remember, actually relive the moments.

The number one reason to get a wedding videographer is the exact same reason you need a photographer. Our memory fades, but your wedding photos and video become family heirlooms, they will outlast both you and I, and will be enjoyed by future generations. Just think about how you feel when you look back at old home videos, seeing your younger carefree self and parents in their prime. That will soon be you, in your element, on your wedding day.

We see video & photos as complementary, like Maccas fries and soft serves – great on their own, but next level when combined.  Being able to relive the moments we capture on video will truly bring back how you felt on your wedding day.

Audio

Sound is powerful, it has the ability to elicit emotion and truly reflect not only what a person is saying, but how they feel. The sounds of the day, from the laughter, the sniffles, the stutters, to the music, all play an important part in your wedding film.

What you don’t see posted on Instagram or Facebook is what we call a Documentary Edit (aka long/ceremony/full edit) which records the ceremony and reception formalities like speeches in full. We love a great Highlights film but we believe the value of the doc edit as a complete reference only grows over time. While the highlights film is something which you can and will watch on replay, the doc edit will be the ultimate home video.

Back to the Future

We suggest speaking to your friends that hired videographers and see what their experience was like.  Trust us, future you will be thanking us. You’re welcome, future you.

Feel free to share this post with friends who might need a final push towards getting videography for their wedding.
