Our Approach
Let’s be real, despite the number times you’ll see the word “candid”, there will be a minimum level of prompting from your photographer or us to get those “sweet” shots we sprinkle through your films. At most this will only be a small part of the day. Our methods of encouraging genuine reactions include cracking jokes and playing games, so be ready for some fun. With video, our cameras are always rolling and we lurk in the shadows, waiting for authentic reactions when you don’t realise we’re recording.
We’re film making ninjas (there’s a reason we mostly wear black), so don’t be surprised if you see moments that you missed from the day. One of our values is that we won’t sacrifice your experience or that of your guests, so we’re mindful not to block people’s views and will treat everyone like family. From the initial consultation to taking mental notes on the day, we make an effort to understand who and what is important to you, your vibe and aesthetic – and incorporate this into your wedding film.
We have a love/hate relationship with editing – it’s where we work our magic but the perfectionist in us means we’ll review every shot, spend hours searching for the right song and will reach version 8 of your highlights film before we are happy with the end result. Don’t get us wrong, we love what we do. We also want you to love your wedding film, so we ensure you’ll get to review it and make any tweaks before finalising.
